COURSE: MANAGEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION SAFETY AND THE SAFETY FILE
The ECA(SA)’s National Director, Mark Mfikoe, will present a special course, ‘Management of Construction Safety and the Safety File’ at the Groenkloof Bowling Club in Pretoria on 22 June 2018 from 8 am to 4 pm.
This invaluable course has been designed especially for safety managers, officers and representatives; HR directors, managers and officers; construction supervisors, foremen and team leaders; and members of safety committees.
The course will cover:
- Safety Construction File;
- Construction Regulations;
- General Machinery Regulations;
- Electrical Installation Regulations;
- Occupational Health and Safety Act; and
- General Administration Regulations.
Mark managed the safety department at Standard Electrical for 15 years, where he gained extensive experience in safety audits and the implementation of the Construction Regulations.
This practical experience combined with Mark’s understanding of law and the interpretation of statutes ensures that the course content is reliable and specific to the electrical contracting industry.
Prior to his stint as Director at Standard Electrical, Mark spent seven years as a lecturer at the University of South Africa where he refined his skills in research, information organisation and transfer. He used these skills in compiling the Workshop Manual and Safety File.
