TAKE YOUR SEAT IN THE ECA’S VIRTUAL CLASSROOM – TWO COURSES COMING UP

No matter where you are, if you have a stable internet connection, you can come to the ECA’s virtual classroom and attend a Certificate Of Compliance (CoC) course on 20 May and a SANS 10142-1 Edition 3 updates course on 22 May.

The courses will be held using Zoom – a video conference tool that allows you to interact with others over the internet. Zoom is free to download: https://zoom.us/download and is relatively easy to setup, however, you will be given clear guidelines on how to do this.

CoC course 20 May

The ECA Highveld will present this course from 9am to 4pm with a one-hour break for lunch. The cost of the course has been reduced to R1100 for members and R1600 for non-members. Course material is included in the price.

To book your place for this course, all you have to do is:

Step 1: Email Leola Petersen at leola@ecasa.co.za and let her know you’d like to register. Leola will then send you the course booking form, the learner booking register and the ECA’s banking details.

Step 2: Complete the forms, list the names of delegates who will attend, and return this to Leola by 18 May 2020 along with proof that you’ve paid the course fees into the ECA’s bank account.

Leola will email you the course material and the Zoom link to join the class on 20 May.

SANS 10142-1 Edition 3 Updates course 22 May

The SANS 10142-1 Edition 3 Updates course on 22 May is set to start at 2pm and finish at 4pm. The cost of the course has been reduced to R350 per person for members and R750 for non-members. Course material is included in the price and this will be emailed to all students. 

Subjects to be covered in the course include:

  • Updates to SANS 10142-1
  • The use of ‘cabtyre’ flexible cord in fixed installations
  • New test reports
  • Updates to earthing requirements
  • Updates to the surge protection annexure
  • New dedicated socket outlets
