Another successful Electric Fence Installer Course was held at the ECA this week. Attending the course are: Lee Catterson (LTC Electrical); Julian Hin (Wesslink Electrical); Nico van den Berg (course presenter); Reginald Chodokufa (SEI Electrical); Butch Lombard (private); Johan Coetzer (SEI Electrical); Christopher Hin (Wesslink Electrical); Mark Wilson (A&A Electrical); Anton Wastl (Wastl Electrical); Johan Nel (Isivimbo Trading); Francois Steenkamp (Buzz Light Year Electrical); and TC Frankenberg (Powell’s Electrical Solutions).

The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EWSETA) has given the ECA(SA) accreditation for Electrical Fence Training. The course covers how to install electric fencing, inspection and testing of a single-phase domestic installation, testing and inspection of three-phase industrial and commercial installations, configuration of an installation, and determination of installation requirements.  

Mark Mfikoe, national director, says that this is “an opportunity for members to offer clients an extra service and access another source of income for their businesses”.

Members of the ECA(SA) can undergo training at a discounted rate. This course is also available to non-members at competitive rates.
