A one-day workshop on earthing, bonding, lightning and surge protection systems for PV will be held in Bloemfontein on Saturday, 26 August 2023 , presented by Braam van Emmenis (Pr Eng Tech). Braam has specialised in lightning surge protection for over 20 years.
The Electrical Installation Regulations stipulate that a Certificate of Compliance with a detailed test report must be issued for each part of an electrical installation, supply which consists of grid (council / municipal / Eskom), PV solar, generator(s), and UPS. The course will cover the importance of test instruments and the correct procedures for inspection, testing and verification according to SANS 10142-1:2021 Ed 3.1.
