It is with deep and profound sadness that the ECA learnt of the sudden passing of Lucas Bowles, the much loved and highly respected former ECA(SA) Regional Director for the East/South Cape. Lucas served the ECA from 1 June 1983 until he retired in March 2020.
The ECA extends its heartfelt condolences to his wife, Vicky, and his family at this very sad time.
A special feature, ‘My Journey with the ECA(SA), written by Lucas, was published in the November-December issue of SA Electrical Contractor and this has been reproduced on the ECA website and can be found here.
The ECA’s National Director, Mark Mfikoe, pays tribute to Lucas in the May-June issue of SA Electrical Contractor, which goes live on Friday, 10 June.
Funeral service
His funeral service will take place on Thursday 9 June 2022 at 11:00 am at the Summerstrand United Church, 69 Erasmus Drive, Summerstrand, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Tea and coffee will be served in the church hall following the service.
