The ECA(SA) recognises how important it is to align and regulate categories of employment to ensure fair competition and maintain labour peace within the electrical contracting industry.
We would like to find out if you utilise certain categories of employment and whether there is a need to include same into the main collective agreement of the Bargaining Council.
EXAMPLE: DO YOU MAKE USE OF FORKLIFT DRIVERS ,SOLAR PANEL WASHERS, AND OTHER CATEGORIES OF WORKERS YOU FEEL SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE ELECTRICAL BARGAINING COUNCIL’S MAIN COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT? DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN PROJECT LABOUR AGREEMENTS WHERE CIVIL INDUSTRY RATES MAY APPLY AND WHAT TYPE OF WORK IS PERFORMED BY THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR ON THESE PROJECTS?
