As electrical installations become increasingly complex, maintaining power quality has never been more important. From harmonics generated by modern electronic equipment to voltage fluctuations, phase imbalance and the integration of renewable energy technologies, electrical professionals face a growing range of challenges that can affect safety, performance and reliability. To address these issues, the ECA(SA) National Technical Committee is hosting an Industry Think Tank focused on Power Quality, bringing together industry experts, engineers, contractors and technical specialists to share insights and practical solutions. The online session will explore real-world case studies, troubleshooting techniques and emerging trends, while encouraging meaningful discussion that may contribute to future technical guidance and best practice recommendations for the South African electrical industry.
Purpose
Following this session, technical guidance and recommendations may be developed for consideration by the ECA(SA) National Technical Committee to support safety, consistency and industry best practice.
