ECA CAPE TOWN OPEN DAY: 9 OCTOBER 2024

The ECA Cape Town Branch recently held its first open day. Open to all members at no cost, the programme included:

  • Presentation by Magento Energy, followed by a Question-and-Answer session
  • Zephyr presentations on the theoretical and practical elements of mounting solar panels
  • Solis presented its inverter technologies, with a focus on modular development of a residential solar installation.
The representatives of Zephyr Solar, Solis and Magneto Energy.

Attendance was good and the presentations yielded good feedback, and an encouraged open exploration of new business opportunities among the attending contractor and presenters. One of the key outtakes is the idea of component installation for any solar installation. For example, Solis provide a high value system, minus the battery, which can be installed at a later date.

This allows electricity consumers the huge benefits of staying off-grid in the long summer daylight hours, radically reducing energy costs. According to Solis, installations such pay themselves in between 6 months to 1 year.
