Most of our members and other contractors know, and have been purchasing the Wiring Code, SANS 10142-1, from our offices either on paper and bound in a folder or on CD for a long time now.
We have also been providing several other SABS / SANS standards and documents, relevant to the broader industry and in line with the training and courses that we offer. Examples would be the documents for the EFSI (Electric Fence System Installer), Medium Voltage, Master Installation Electrician, Apprentice and Elconop, Solar/PV, Lightning Protection and all similar training.
We can also provide documents used in other fields, such as switchboard manufacturing, plugs and sockets, overhead lines, and much more.
The good news is that the ECA is now able to provide all of the mentioned documents, as well as any other SABS document, yes even shoemaking, in electronic format. We can also provide all these in printed format if you prefer, but it takes longer as SABS prints on request and the price excludes the cost of getting it to you.
The procedure is that you contact our offices for a quotation for the document you require, and once we’ve received payment, we will send a token with detailed instructions to your email.
In short, you will follow a link to the given web address and redeem the included token. You will have to provide basic information like your name and email address. The document will then be provided to you in electronic format (pdf), which you can use on your computer, tablet or even phone or, if you prefer, print yourself. If you order a printed version, it will be printed by SABS, for collection.
The electronic versions are searchable and indexed, which facilitates easy use and referencing.
AS in the past, of course our members will always get a better price – considerably less that buying directly from SABS.
