ECA(SA) KZN HOSTS FIRST ELECTRIC FENCE SYSTEM INSTALLER COURSE

The Electrical Contractors’ Association of South Africa (ECA(SA)) KwaZulu-Natal region has successfully launched its first-ever Electric Fence System Installer (EFSI) Course, which took place at the ECA(SA) KZN offices from 22 to 24 June 2026.

Presented by ECA(SA) Past President, Mr Frans Swanepoel, the three-day course marks an important milestone for the region, bringing specialised training closer to members in KwaZulu-Natal for the first time.

The course has attracted 12 participants, all of whom have responded positively to both the content and delivery. Attendees have expressed their appreciation for the opportunity, particularly noting the value of the subsidy support provided by ECA(SA), which has made the training more accessible. Feedback has also highlighted Mr Swanepoel’s expertise and engaging presentation style, contributing to an enriching learning experience.

This initiative forms part of ECA(SA)’s ongoing commitment to skills development and industry upliftment, ensuring that members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and compliance requirements within specialised sectors such as electric fencing.

Due to the strong interest and positive reception, ECA(SA) KZN has confirmed that another EFSI course will be scheduled early next year. Members are encouraged to be on the lookout for announcements, as the first 10 participants will once again benefit from subsidised training costs.

ECA(SA) remains dedicated to supporting its members through high-quality training initiatives that enhance professional standards and promote growth within the electrical contracting industry.
