“Thank you, everyone. It’s been a privilege to serve as ABB’s CEO. Today is my last day as CEO of ABB. The more than four years that I have been in the role have been among the most rewarding of my career. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to lead the transformation of one of the world’s greatest technology companies, and to work with some of the most talented, dynamic people in the industry.

One of those people is Morten Wierod, CEO of ABB as of tomorrow. Morten is a first-class leader who has successfully led two of ABB’s business areas. He knows the company and our customers inside out. ABB will be in the best possible hands with him at the helm.

I want to thank everyone at ABB for your support during this journey. Together, we navigated the pandemic, supply chain disruptions, inflation, wars, and plenty of other challenges while transforming the company and emerging stronger. Today, ABB is a highly profitable and successful company. That is a tremendous achievement by any standard, and it is all thanks to you.

It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to lead ABB, and I’m happy to stay on until the end of the year as executive advisor to support a seamless transition.

You are a talented team with world-class technologies. You have a bright future ahead of you. I look forward to watching the next chapter of your success journey.”
