ECA(SA) POSITION TO BE FILLED: PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR

Personal Assistant is required by the Electrical Contractors’ Association of South Africa to provide efficient PA/Secretarial support to the National Director.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of the National Director’s Diary;
  • Manage of all aspects of the National Director’s meetings, including (but not limited to), issuing meeting notices, arranging transport and accommodation, catering, typing minutes and other documents, dispatching such minutes and/or documents to relevant forums, keeping of confidential Executive Committee records and decisions/resolutions;
  • Set-up and maintenance of document management system for all executive level documents;
  • Handle all communications to the National Director’s office and, where necessary, direct communications to relevant persons;
  • Ensure that all requests directed to and from the National Director’s office are carried out timeously;
  • Provide team support to the Senior Management group;
  • Event co-ordination;
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Matric
  • Relevant secretarial/ PA qualification
  • Driver’s license
  • Access to reliable transportation.

Knowledge, skills and attributes

  • At least two years’ experience within a similar role at executive management level
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Proven administrative and event coordination skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Assertive demeanor
