The Free State Region of the Electrical Contractors Association (SA) is looking for an Industrial Relations Office (IRO).
To qualify, the required candidate must have:
- A degree in Labour Law;
- Have Labour Law as a major subject;
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law; or
- Possess a Certificate in Labour Dispute Resolution Practice from the University of Stellenbosch or Wits, plus at least 5 years’ experience in the field of Labour Law.
Candidates need specific skills in these areas:
(a)Collective Bargaining and Management and interpretation of Collective Agreements.
(b)Disciplinary hearings and Management of discipline at Industry level.
(c)Strong track record in dispute resolution.
(d)CCMA and Bargaining Council representation of clients.
e)Providing telephonic guidance and face-to-face guidance on labour law and collective bargaining.
f)Helping contractors with policies and guidance over all areas of employment law.
(h)Writing of short courses to teach industry the latest developments in Labour Law Practice.
The candidate must have own roadworthy car with a valid driver’s license.
