7 September 2024: The ECA(SA) Highveld Region proudly represented the electrical contracting industry at the Makers Fest 2024, organised by the Allan Gray Makers Foundation.
As a technical partner, ECA(SA) is committed to supporting technical readiness and helping to cultivate a new generation of business leaders. Key discussions during the event revolved around contractor registrations and the serious consequences of operating as an ‘illegal’ contractor.
Boosting the technical trades industry
The technical trades industry in South Africa is often overlooked and not celebrated. The Allan Gray Makers programme has identified this gap in the technical and vocational industry and aims to create visibility around technical trades in the industry.
The purpose of The Allan Gray Makers Fest is to shine a light on the technical and vocational industry in South Africa. The Allan Gray Makers Fest brings together over 300 participants from alumni, current Programme Participants, like-minded organisations and thought leaders in the technical and vocational space.
The ECA(SA) Highveld Region appreciates the opportunity to contribute to the future of the industry and encourages businesses to reach out to their local ECA(SA) office for support in ensuring compliance or further business development.
