Make your mark this year and enter your best projects in the ECA(SA)’s Presidential Excellence Awards 2023. The new, streamlined entry forms will be released on Tuesday 19 September 2023, and will be available on the homepage for download. Simply enter your best projects undertaken between 1 July 2022 and 31 July 2023 in one or more of the 14 categories, along with high resolution images of the work undertaken and return the forms to Theresa or Tebogo before the closing date on 31 October 2023. Don’t underestimate your potential to win!
The best preparation for entering is done before selecting a project and a category. Taking the time to mentally examine your company’s output from July 1 2023 and select just the right project that demonstrates and illustrates an aspect that really stands out can make the difference between second and first places. Competition only exists between equals and often, just one point separates the winner from the runner-up. Just being up on stage is a remarkable achievement … and the thought of doing better is exciting and inspiring.
Call for entries
No matter the size of your company or the size of the project – past winners have achieved astonishing quality in large and small contracts. Trust your gut feelings: do you have that feeling that your projects exemplify excellence? Yes? Then enter!
Taking up the challenge
But now here’s a challenge: approach the quality of your entry in the same way you approached that project. Get the best images you can. Cell phone images can work – just check your settings and make sure they are hi res, and if you’re shooting outside try for early mornings or pre-dusk for best natural light. The winners and their entries are showcased in the November-December issue of SA Electrical Contractor, and we can only use images that are print quality. And ask us at ECA(SA) for help.
