ECA(SA) Port Elizabeth Branch Expands with New Training Facility

The Port Elizabeth branch of the Electrical Contractors Association of South Africa (ECA(SA)) has come a long way since its establishment in 1970. From its modest beginnings, the branch has steadily evolved, culminating in the opening of its offices at Brydon Business Park in 2018. Now, in a significant step forward, the branch is proud to announce the launch of its very own training facility at its Newton Park offices.
Focus on Skills Development
With a primary emphasis on Elconop 2/3 training, the facility aims to become a cornerstone for industry skills development. The initiative seeks not only to provide immediate training opportunities but also to build a strong foundation for long-term industry recognition and sustainable growth.
The goal is to have the training facility fully operational by early 2026, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled professionals ready to contribute to the electrical contracting sector.
Upcoming Training Opportunities
To set the stage for the grand opening, shorter, face-to-face training courses will be available starting in June 2025. The first of these, “Estimating and Tendering,” will run from June 5 to June 7, 2025. These courses offer an invaluable opportunity for industry professionals to enhance their expertise and remain competitive in an evolving field.
