Two Solar PV courses were organised by ECA(SA)’s Bosveld Branch – providing up-to-the-minute critical skills, tools, standards, and safety and protection strategies to Electrical Contractors across the north Gauteng (at the Bosveld Training Centre) and Mpumalanga (at the Coalfields Branch).
The growing demand for Solar PV training reflects not only the residential and business demand for off-grid power solutions, but the much needed and successful efforts of ECA(SA) to promote installation standards and compliance, as the push against substandard installations and equipment establishes a healthy momentum. The positive impact of compliant installations is counterpointed by the damage done by unqualified electricians using inadequate equipment, and underpins the drive by ECA(SA) to promote standards and compliance.
Training was presented by Andre Wagener of ElecTec Consulting on the 31 August and 1 September 2023.
