ECA(SA)’s 2024 Presidential Excellence Awards are officially open for entries. Celebrating member’s excellence as well the association’s major developments.
Since launching in 2012, the ECA(SA) Presidential Excellence Awards have grown – not just in size but also in importance, as more members recognise the significant value these awards add to their business, to staff morale and to their standing in the electrical contracting industry.

The ECA(SA) Presidential Excellence Awards acknowledge those members who have achieved the highest standards in the electrical contracting industry.
The new fillable entry forms are available for download now per category link. In 2023 the ECA(SA) did major updates to the forms, with revised categories and clearly weighted criteria, making for the most transparent and accessible entry process yet! 2. Installation of the Year – Residential (housing – all sizes)
4. Installation of the Year – Office blocks
5. Installation of the Year – Hotels and Hospitals

9. Apprentice of the Year (Male | Female | Overall Apprentice of the Year)
10. Women-Owned Business of the Year

Entry forms and deadlines
Simply enter your best projects undertaken between 1 July 2023 and 31 July 2024 in one or more of the 15 categories, along with high resolution images of the work undertaken and return the forms to Theresa or Bontle before the closing date on 31 October 2024.

The potential to win!
No matter the size of your company or the size of the project – past winners have achieved astonishing quality in large and small contracts. Trust your gut feelings: do you have that feeling that your projects exemplify excellence? Yes? Then enter!
Approach the quality of your entry in the same way you approached that project. Get the best images you can. Cell phone images can work – just check your settings and make sure they are hi res, and if you’re shooting outside try for early mornings or pre-dusk for best natural light.
The Awards Gala Event will be held on 22 November 2024 and the winners and their entries are showcased in the November-December 2024 issue of SA Electrical Contractor, on this website and our social media.
